2. What makes a PowerFence™ System different to other perimeter security systems?

Detects the intrusion attempt: the system activates an alarm if the fence is attacked.

Deters intruders: a physical and psychological barrier. NO OTHER SINGLE SYSTEM CAN DO THIS.

3. What is the cost of the control unit alone?

The Control Unit is an integral part of the entire system. Ibex Gallagher Security PowerFence™ System is designed and installed as a complete system to effectively ward off human intrusions. It is not sold separately.

4. What is the owning and operating cost of the PowerFence?

The cost of ownership is low and most often it is recovered within the first year of installation itself through loss prevention. The cost is also justified by the reduction in cost of man guards and other security devices.

Ibex Gallagher Security PowerFence™ Systems require very little maintenance. All that is needed is keeping the fence line clear of vegetation and any damage from attempted break-ins.

5. How does the cost vary with perimeter?

Perimeters are of various lengths and shapes. The terrain can also vary. The PowerFence™ consists of wires and accessories drawn on special posts called ‘Kiwitah’ posts. Depending upon the number of sections, corners and bends, the number of accessories varies. This reflects on the Bill of Quantities required and therefore the cost.

The cost per meter of the PowerFence™ reduces as the length of the fence increases as a single control unit is adequate for upto 1.5 to 1.8 kms of fencing.

6. Who will do the routine maintenance of the system?

All the Ibex Gallagher Security PowerFence™ Systems are designed installed and services by trained, authorized dealers. Routing maintenance will be undertaken by our authorized dealers / Service agents.

7. What is the maintenance requirement and is the AMC mandatory or is it optional?

AMC is to ensure that the entire system performs well through out and is reliable at all times. There is more to the effectiveness of the system than just the fence. The Ibex Gallagher network of local sales and service dealers offers prompt, professional advice. From initial consultation and system design, to the installation, commissioning and service, our dealers ensure that each installation meets our customers’ requirements and expectations.

Minimum maintenance is required with respect to the Ibex Gallagher Security Power Fence™ System.  Most often the owner himself can maintain the fence completely. AMC is mandatory for A & B Class of Power Fences™ and is optional for C class of fences.

8. Cost of the PowerFence™ is said to be comparable with that of a good security wall. But the wall is a permanent structure and provides long life without maintenance. Then how can you say that Power Fence is cost-effective?

A brick or stonewall is an inactive/passive and opaque barrier while the Ibex Gallagher Security PowerFence™ System is an intelligent system. An active barrier that provides round the clock vigil through out the perimeter that is the equivalent of posting constantly alerts security guards all around the perimeter.

9. Will all the accessories be available after some years?

Ibex Gallagher offers a 10-year parts guarantee to its customers. We are committed to ensure longevity of the system to our customers.
